An episode of lonely thoughts, wistful visitations, and dramatic tension abound in The Fairest of the Seasons! Lady Arabella’s absence from the great party is pondered, while Americus and Ephraim’s personalities clash in quiet. A series of twists and turns around the garden cause Dory’s inner conflicts to reach peak drama while she must confront Lady Cristine Wynn and reconcile her schemes against Baron Lord Carmichael.

The Fairest of the Seasons continues with the Party of the Ages, or as Baron Lord Carmichael (played by Emma Lambert) would call it “The Party of this Age.” Heartstrings are pulled with the high expectations placed upon formal gatherings and schemes begin to be put into action. The session concludes with dramatic monologues revealing the inner thoughts of each character and what inner conflict drives each and every player.

The Fairest of the Seasons begins with an introduction to the cast and who we all will be playing! What follows is a discussion about the neighborhood the main characters live in and explores the dynamics between the relationships of each character as we move through a series of visitations, rumors spread throughout the countryside, and ends with a series of letters that advance the story.

Five players explore tales of scandal, rivalry, and romance in Good Society, The Jane Austen RPG. Storybrewers Roleplaying describes their system as a game of “ social ambition, family obligation, and breathtaking, heart-stopping longing.”
